Elba Island
Santa Lucia’s Pinnacle
The top of the pinnacle is at 8 meters depth, where we will anchor the boat and begin our descent along the east side, the steepest and most impressive, as it is completely covered with sea daisies (Parazoanthus).
We proceed south, stopping to look into the cracks to surprise large scorpionfish and octopus, then we leave the largest rock to make a quick circuit around two smaller rocks that are rich in life: moray eels, conger eels and octopus are everywhere, and in the Posidonia we can also spot brown meagre and hunting dentex.
Returning to the main rock, we make two complete circuits at different depths to enjoy the final spectacle of clouds of damselfish and saddled seabream, where hunting barracuda dart through.
