Semaforo Pinnacle
About half a mile offshore from Capo Enfola lies Semaforo Pinnacle.
To reach it, a blue water descent must be carried out to beyond 40 meters along the anchor line or a shot line, but it is worth it.
It is a large dome resting on the sand that rises from 52 to about 40 meters, completely covered with red gorgonians (Paramuricea clavata) and yellow gorgonians (Eunicella cavolini), as well as a multitude of colorful sponges.
Lobsters are always present, often of considerable size, and in the cracks it is possible to find some small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula) specimens that have remained in the area after laying their eggs on the gorgonians. We have often encountered a huge John Dory (Zeus faber).
Not far from this pinnacle there is a second, smaller one called SEMAFORINO, equally beautiful; in fact, it can be said that the gorgonians are even denser.
These are dives reserved for divers holding a technical certification.
